The Berggruen Research Center at Peking University was established on December 19, 2018. Located at the heart of Peking University, the Center engages China’s most outstanding thinkers to examine, share and develop ideas to address global challenges.
Intellectual themes for research programs are focused on frontier technologies and society, and issues involving digital governance and globalization. The Berggruen Institute has committed $22.5 million to the Center, which funds a fellowship program, supports publications that feature the Center’s major research focuses, hosts program activities such as lectures, workshops, symposia, and produces multi-media outreach programs.
